Social Work Blocks
Our social work Blocks primarily focus on social reciprocity. They seek to address areas of challenge such as anxiety, flexibility/rigidity, and difficulty with reciprocal social engagement.
Our sessions emphasize a dynamic, relationship-based approach with an emphasis on utilizing the relationship to learn and self-regulate. Therapists provide ongoing coaching and support to parents/caregivers, and their involvement is highly encouraged to support generalization across settings.
Our social work Blocks may be one hour in length or may be combined with speech and language therapy and/or attention intervention. Goals are based on individual needs but may include joint attention, experience sharing, being guided by an adult, managing uncertainty, perspective taking, and flexible thinking.
